Who can apply to be licensed?

In order to be considered for an electrician’s license within the state of Western Australia, one must provide or complete the following:

  • Legal name or entity name
  • Trading name as applicable
  • Insurance – Regulation 36 requires that an applicant hold current insurance coverage with a reputable insurer. This policy must protect against civil liability in respect to work performed as an electrical contractor. Documentary evidence is required to be presented with the application.

o   ECTP Establishing a Contracting Business Course

  • One must hold a current Western Australia Electrician’s License and has satisfactorily met completion requirements of the following courses:
